Fairbanks, AK Portraits & Travel Photography
Spring of 2013 while storm chasing; I kept seeing these beautifully well-structured supercells and tornadoes, and imagined how wonderfully they'd look hanging on my walls, and thus, purchased my first entry-level DSLR to do just that. Funny story is though that I have yet to frame a tornado through the lens of my camera, as I always grab for the video camera during those moments haha. I could probably trace my artistic background back to all the art classes I took growing up in Phillipsburg, KS on through the classes I took at FHSU in Hays, KS where I learned all about composition and style in my drawing. It was with that I learned to properly frame my creations.
Over the years I traveled all over the country capturing everything under the sun and evening sky that my eyes found appealing. My current location is Fairbanks, AK where I work, and in my free-time, travelling around witnessing all the sights this great state has to offer. In doing so, I have fallen in love with this region and plan to stay for some time. There is SO much I haven't seen yet, and plan to capture!
